Here's who I am and what I do
I'm Lindsay, and supporting early social-emotional development is my life's work. Currently, I work for the Wake County Public School System, one of North Carolina's largest school districts, as the Social Emotional Foundations for Early Learning (SEFEL) Coordinator. My job includes coaching public preschool teachers to support Pyramid Model practices, organizing our leadership team, collecting and analyzing data, and aligning our work with other SEL initiatives in our district and state. I have a front seat row as teachers try new ideas and children successfully navigate friendships and big feelings!
Outside of my day job, I write and train on social emotional development and coaching. Recently, I've been writing the upcoming book, Create an Emotion-Rich Classroom which will be available through FreeSpirit Publishing in the summer of 2022.
