Hi!
Here's who I am and what I do
I'm Lindsay, and supporting early social-emotional development is my life's work. Currently, I am the Manager of Inclusion and Behavior Support for Bright Horizons, providing consultation, resources, and training for over 600 childcare centers all over the country! Before this role, I worked for the Wake County Public School System, one of North Carolina's largest school districts, as the Social Emotional Foundations for Early Learning (SEFEL) Coordinator. I coached public preschool teachers to support Pyramid Model practices, organized our leadership team, collected and analyzed data, and aligned our work with other SEL initiatives in our district and state. I love having a front seat row as center leaders and teachers try new ideas and children successfully navigate friendships and big feelings!

Outside of my day job, I write and train on social emotional development and coaching. Recently, I've been working on my book, Create an Emotion-Rich Classroom which is available through Free Spirit as of October 2022. I'm also drafting my first picture book series, focused on recognizing and identifying emotions, also published by Free Sprit. The first two books drop in February of 2024, with four more books to follow.
Create an Emotion-Rich Classroom is now available for order on major platforms such as:
